Our Mission:

Organize.

We are here to organize for the political interests of LGBT+ individuals, allies and elect leaders who share our values in the great state of Michigan.

Vote

LGBT Michigan engages non-regular LGBT+ voters, conducts voter process education and shares regional candidates’ issues.

Our legislative advocacy centers around two bills submitted in the State of Michigan legislative.  House Bill 5139 amends ethnic intimidation law to include gender identity and sexual orientation and House Bill 4688 amends The Elliot Larson Civil Rights discrimination law to include sexual orientation and gender identity or expression.

LGBT Michigan is dedicated to empowering the community by providing comprehensive voting resources and support.

Get Involved

Through mobilizing constituency via issue-based outreach, LGBT Michigan uses digital campaigning, social media, grass-root lobbying, and direct mail campaigning when important dates, voting locations, and candidate endorsements are announced.
